In short: this is our most complete 2027 solar eclipse tour in Egypt. Four days in Bahariya Oasis and the Western Desert, two nights in a quality hotel in the oasis, one night in our air-conditioned eclipse camp and at least six minutes of totality on 2 August 2027. One fixed price per person, with every meal, ticket and permit included.
This trip is how we would host our own family. We are from Bahariya, our children grew up between these palm groves and dunes, and the eclipse is passing right over our home. So we planned it slowly: no rushing from the airport to the sand, no long day with no rest, just time to arrive, breathe, see the oasis and feel ready when the sky goes dark.
Day one is all about Bahariya: lunch at the hotel, panoramic views from English Mountain, the pyramid-shaped hills of El Dist and El Maghrafa and sunset by the oasis lake. On day two the 4×4 takes you across the Black Desert, to the sulfur spring for lunch and to Crystal Mountain, before you settle into the eclipse camp for a Bedouin dinner and a night under the stars.
Eclipse day starts with breakfast at camp. Then comes the moment you came for: the light fading, the temperature dropping, the corona blazing around a black Sun for at least six minutes. After lunch at camp we drive through Agabat Valley and the White Desert for sunset, then back to the hotel for a celebration dinner. On day four we drive you back to Cairo, tired and happy.

When is the 2027 total solar eclipse in Egypt?
On Monday 2 August 2027. In the Western Desert near Bahariya, totality happens around midday local time, with partial phases before and after. The exact times for our viewing point are shared with confirmed guests.
Is the eclipse camp inside the path of totality?
Yes. The camp and viewing area are in the zone between the White Desert and the Black Desert, inside the path of totality. The exact point is chosen after final terrain, access, safety and horizon checks and is verified to give at least 6 minutes of totality. Coordinates are shared with confirmed guests.
Is the price really the same for one traveler or a group?
Yes. This eclipse tour has one fixed price per person: $3,950 per adult, $1,975 for children aged 7 to 15 and free for children up to 6. Solo travelers do not pay more and groups pay the same per person.
Which nights are in the hotel and which at the camp?
31 July and 2 August are hotel nights in Bahariya Oasis. 1 August is the night at the air-conditioned eclipse camp, so you wake up in place on eclipse day.
How do I reserve and how much is the deposit?
Send a request with the form or on WhatsApp. Once we confirm your places, a deposit of $500 per adult and $250 per child aged 7 to 15 secures your booking. Children up to 6 need no deposit. The deposit is credited toward your final price.
Is the eclipse camp air-conditioned?
Yes. It is a purpose-built tented camp with air-conditioned sleeping, seating and dining areas, Wi-Fi, electricity, charging points, guest toilets and first aid, with a direct sky-view layout and a maximum of 40 guests.
Are tickets and permits included?
Yes. All park fees, entrance tickets and desert permits are already in the price.
Is clear weather guaranteed?
No one can promise the weather. August in the Western Desert is normally dry and very sunny, which is one reason this region is among the best places on Earth to watch this eclipse.
Can I upgrade to private transport?
Yes. Road transport and 4x4s are shared by default, and a private car or private 4×4 can be added as a paid upgrade, subject to availability. Ask us when you request your booking.
