Day 1: From Cairo to the White Desert
Begin your journey in Cairo or Giza, travel to Bahariya Oasis and spend your first day exploring some of the Western Desert's most remarkable landscapes.

Start your journey with a morning pickup. The drive to Bahariya Oasis normally takes around four to five hours, depending on the pickup point and road conditions.

Camping locations are confirmed according to the shared group program, permitted routes and local conditions.
Comfortable desert clothing, walking shoes or hiking boots, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a camera, personal toiletries, essential medication, warm evening clothing and a small backpack.

He and the Egypt Desert Trips team love sharing the desert, local traditions and authentic moments that turn fellow travelers into friends. Can I join as a solo traveler?
Absolutely. Egypt Desert Trips welcomes solo travelers on shared adventures. You can join other travelers without having to book an entire private tour. Eyad and the team will confirm the appropriate group arrangement before your reservation.
Are shared White Desert tours available every day?
We accept shared tour requests for both White Desert programs on any day. Available seats and the group arrangement are confirmed individually before payment. If a requested departure cannot be confirmed, we will discuss the available alternatives with you.
How many people will be in the group?
Group size depends on the bookings and arrangements for your selected departure. We will confirm the expected group size and transport details before you pay your deposit.
Is camping included in the price?
Yes. The 2 Day program includes one night of desert camping, while the 3 Day program includes two nights. Camping equipment is included as described in the selected itinerary. Exact tent arrangements and facilities will be confirmed before booking.
Are tickets, permits and transportation included?
Yes. The published prices include the required tickets, permits and transport for the stated itinerary. There are no hidden fees for the published program. Extra services requested outside that program are discussed and priced before approval.
Can I book a private tour instead?
Of course. If you prefer a journey just for yourself, your partner, family or friends, Egypt Desert Trips can arrange a private adventure with greater flexibility. You can also use our Plan Your Trip page to share your preferences.
How do I confirm my booking?
Send us your preferred tour, date and number of guests. Once the shared departure is confirmed, we will provide your booking details and a PayPal invoice for the 30% booking deposit. We explain the remaining payment arrangements and applicable cancellation terms before payment.
