We pick you up in Cairo or Giza and drive about 4 to 5 hours to Bahariya Oasis. On arrival, you switch to a 4×4 and the desert adventure begins.

The Black Desert & lunch in El Hez village
Hike the volcanic hills of the Black Desert for panoramic views, then continue to El Hez village for lunch beside a natural sulfur spring, where swimming is possible.

Stop at Crystal Mountain, then take an off-road route deep into the desert to explore the hidden caves carved into the rocks of Agabat Valley.

As the sun sets, we choose a beautiful camping spot for the first night. Enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner, Bedouin tea brewed over the coals and a campfire beneath a sky full of stars.

Arch Rock & the Karawen dunes
After breakfast at camp, head to the hidden corners of the desert. First comes Arch Rock, a natural rock formation shaped like an arch, then the Karawen area, surrounded by massive dunes, perfect for sandboarding.

The Petrified Trees & lunch at the Magic Spring
Visit the Petrified Trees area, where ancient wood has turned to stone, then stop for lunch at the Magic Spring.

The Waves Area
Continue to the Waves Area, known for its surreal formations that look like frozen waves in the sand.

Second desert camp
Later in the afternoon, we head to the second camping spot to enjoy sunset in the desert, followed by dinner and another night under the stars. You can choose to spend this night in the White Desert or the Black Desert.

How is the 4-day tour different from the 3-day tour?
The 4-day tour adds a second night of camping and a full deep-desert day with Arch Rock, the Karawen dunes, the Petrified Trees, the Magic Spring and the Waves Area, before the hotel night and the Bahariya Oasis tour. Compare it with our 3-day White Desert tour.
How many nights do we camp in the desert?
Two. The first night is at a camping spot chosen at sunset on Day 1, and the second can be in the White Desert or the Black Desert. The third night is in a hotel in Bahariya Oasis.
What is a night at camp like?
Dinner is cooked fresh, Bedouin tea is brewed over the coals, and we spend the evening together around the campfire with stories, games and the stars. Each guest has a mattress, pillow, sleeping bag and blanket. Facilities are basic.
Are meals and drinks included?
Yes. The tour includes 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners, plus soft drinks, water and juice. Alcoholic drinks are not included, but you can bring your own from Cairo.
Are national park tickets included?
