Christmas Eve under a million stars
Christmas in the White Desert 2026: Overview
In short: spend Christmas in the White Desert with us. A shared 2-day trip from Cairo or Giza on 24 to 25 December 2026, a festive camp built only for this night, a Bedouin band, a grill under the stars, games, a safe fireworks show and new friends from all over the world. One ticket, $180 per person, everything included.
Christmas far from home can feel lonely. So we decided to bring the family to you. Our team from Bahariya Oasis is building a big celebration camp in the White Desert, with warm lights, carpets around the fire, a Christmas tree glowing between the chalk rocks and a table long enough for everyone.
The day starts with the drive to Bahariya and a convoy of 4x4s into the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain and Agabat Valley. As the sun goes down over the White Desert, the camp lights up. The grill is already smoking, the tea is brewing on the coals and the drums are warming up.
Then the night begins: Bedouin music with the mizmar and tabla, songs around the fire, desert games, dancing for anyone who wants to, a safe fireworks show over the rocks and Christmas wishes under the clearest sky you will ever see. Come alone, as a couple, with friends or with your kids. By midnight you will be one big desert family.
Want to welcome 2027 in the desert too? See our New Year’s Eve in the White Desert camp.

Why Spend Christmas in the White Desert?
Christmas in the White Desert is quiet magic: no traffic, no shopping malls, just warm light on white chalk rocks and a sky full of stars. Many guests tell us that Christmas in the White Desert felt more like home than any hotel party, because everyone sits at one table and shares the same fire. If you are in Egypt for the holidays, Christmas in the White Desert is the most memorable way to spend Christmas Eve, and it is only one drive from Cairo.
