Why visit Fayoum?
Fayoum is the closest real desert adventure to Cairo. In one day you can see waterfalls in the middle of the Sahara, a lake that changes color with the light, the fossils of whales that swam here 40 million years ago and dunes tall enough for sandboarding. It is also one of the oldest farming regions in Egypt, with green fields, palm groves and quiet villages.
Many travelers to Egypt never hear of it. That is exactly why our guests love it: it feels like a secret, close to the city.
